CGP: Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in our financial operations, performing general accounting functions and various analyses using GAAP procedures. Your responsibilities will involve working with general ledger accounts, balance sheets, income statements, ledger reconciliation, data preparation for journal entries, and financial statements.

This position is 100% remote. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $33 to $36 per hour.

Job Description:

• Record bank activities in the general ledger and perform daily bank reconciliations.
  
  
• Prepare monthly journal entries and detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, including accounts receivable, prepaids, accruals, and other liability accounts.
  
  
• Review, reconcile, and record bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll activities.
  
  
• Review, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
  
  
• Prepare and maintain unclaimed property escheatment reports.
  
  
• Prepare necessary filings for year-end business property taxes.
  
  
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audits.
  
  
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls and established company policies.
  
  

Requirements:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  
  
• Knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting software.
  
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written).
  
  

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  
  
• 3+ years of general accounting and finance experience required.
