Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement tailored speech therapy interventions that focus on various aspects such as language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families to reinforce progress during off-clinic hours.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress in accordance with legal and organizational standards while ensuring all records are meticulously kept up to date.
• Engage in professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through peer collaboration and continuing education.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completed if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of employment.
