Immediate Opportunity for an Experienced Litigation Legal Assistant
A well-established law firm in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join its team on an immediate basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal support professional who is confident managing the demands of a busy litigation practice and can step into the role with minimal ramp-up time.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment. Prior litigation legal assistant experience is required.
What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to litigation attorneys.
- Prepare, format, proofread, and edit pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Assist with electronic and court filings and ensure documents are submitted accurately and timely.
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and other appointments.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with discovery, including preparing, organizing, and tracking discovery-related documents.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, depositions, and other litigation-related activities.
- Monitor case deadlines and proactively alert attorneys to upcoming dates and required actions.
- Assist with time entry, billing, expense reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare and organize documents, exhibits, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trial.
- Handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.
- Provide additional administrative support as needed to ensure the litigation team operates efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous litigation legal assistant experience is required.
- Strong understanding of litigation terminology, procedures, and court filing requirements.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong proofreading, writing, and document-formatting abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology.
- Professional, dependable, and proactive approach to supporting attorneys and clients.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
