Human Resources Generalist

Broadmead | Cockeysville, MD Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

At Broadmead, our team members are at the heart of everything we do. We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who is passionate about people, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys balancing employee support with operational excellence.

In this role, you'll be a trusted resource for team members and leaders, helping to create a positive workplace culture while supporting key HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, leave management, compliance, and HR operations. 

What You'll Do

As our HR Generalist, you will:

• Serve as a primary HR contact for team members and managers, providing guidance on policies, benefits, leave programs, and HR processes.
• Coordinate and deliver a welcoming onboarding experience for new hires.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Support benefits administration, open enrollment activities, and wellness initiatives.
• Assist with payroll processing, audits, and reporting.
• Manage leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.
• Support workers' compensation claims and return-to-work efforts.
• Participate in employee engagement, recognition programs, and culture-building initiatives.
• Partner with leaders on HR programs, workforce initiatives, and organizational goals.
• Help drive continuous improvement through HR projects, audits, and process enhancements. 

What We're Looking For

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Experience supporting onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave administration, and employee relations.
• Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems, preferably UKG Ready, UKG Pro, or a comparable platform.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across the organization.
• PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification is preferred.
