Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

License: IN license must be in hand

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC

Must-Have: Recent NICU experience, willingness to float between NICU, pediatric acute care, and adult acute care

Description:
Please confirm that travelers are agreeable to the shift and that all requests are provided upon submission.

Candidates must have a valid NBRC RRT certification and an IN license.

First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NBRC.

The shift is 4x12s every other week, with holiday coverage required.

COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required.

Travelers will float between NICU, pediatric acute care, and adult acute care as part of the job requirements.

The respiratory care tasks include airway management, medication administration, ventilation management, arterial blood gases, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP.

Preferred skills include experience in trauma settings, teaching hospitals, and ERs.

Candidates should have experience with bronchoscopes and are familiar with documentation systems like Cerner.

Knowledge of equipment such as Hamilton G5 and Philips V60 is preferred.

Staffing in this role will include care for various patient age groups including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

Candidates must have the ability to assist in high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal transport.

The respiratory therapist will be expected to work effectively and supportively in an interdisciplinary environment.

Floating between departments is required and will involve attending high-risk deliveries.

Candidates must provide two supervisor references.
