Assistant Professor of Clinical - OBGYN, Gynecology Oncology

Assistant Professor of Clinical, Division of Gynecologic Oncology (GYO), Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences, University of Miami. Responsibilities Serve as an attending physician focusing on the care and treatment of gynecologic oncology patients. Inpatient attending responsibilities for the Division's inpatient units at University of Miami Health Tower and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Provide comprehensive high‑risk pregnancy care in collaboration with allied health professionals. Educate OB/GYN medical students, residents, and GYO fellows. Develop and carry out comprehensive medical treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and sociocultural domains. Perform physical assessments and prescribe medical treatments and clinical drugs. Gather essential information from records, interviews with patients, families, and other health professionals. Report to the responsible physician; comply with policy, hazardous conditions, QA incidences, and pursue continuing education. Make informed decisions regarding interventions based on patient information, evidence, and clinical judgment. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and comply with federal and state guidelines. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and safeguard University assets. Additional Responsibilities Primary clinical responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient practice at UMMSOM and Jackson Health System sites. Direct care to gynecologic oncology patients. Consultation for hospitalized patients on the GYO service and for non‑service unit patients by telephone. Utilize Epic, Cerner for documentation, and MobileCharge for billing. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology. Certification in relevant specialty or field required. Active Florida Medical License & DEA Credentialing. Minimum of 2 years of experience. Medical degree (MD/DO) with BE/BC in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty board eligible in Gynecologic Oncology; eligible for full, unrestricted Florida Medical license. Demonstrated ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, work independently or collaboratively, organize and prioritize work under pressure, handle confidential information, and work evenings, nights, weekends as needed.
