Pen Tester

Job Description

• Review findings identified by third-party penetration testers

• Validate whether reported vulnerabilities are legitimate, exploitable, and require remediation

• Reproduce exploits and confirm impact within the environment

• Analyze infrastructure-related security findings and assess risk

• Work with internal technical teams to support remediation efforts

• Coordinate with third-party penetration testers to confirm fixes have been successfully implemented

• Review affected systems and configurations to determine root cause

• Assign severity levels and provide remediation recommendations

Track vulnerability remediation and validation efforts through completion

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience

• Experience validating and reproducing penetration testing findings

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure specific security weaknesses

• Hands-on experience with Tenable Nessus (preferred), Qualys, or Rapid7 InsightVM

• Proficiency using Kali Linux

• Experience determining exploitability, risk, and remediation priority of vulnerabilities

• Experience working with engineering/infrastructure teams to validate fixes and remediation efforts

Ability to assign severity ratings and verify remediation effectiveness • Web application security experience

• Experience with CrowdStrike

• OffSec Certified Professional (OSCP) Certification
