As a Security Officer Medical Center Patrol in Overland Park, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and/or entry procedures, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Support staff and visitors during high-traffic periods, help with de-escalation during tense situations, and follow Allied Universal protocols for communication, reporting, and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital vaccine requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
