Operates cash register. Performs dishwashing and housekeeping duties in the Dietary Department, as needed./ppJob Responsibilities:/ppPrepares and cooks food, bakery products and garnishes for patients, cafeteria and special events as assigned, according to standardized recipes and safe food handling practices. Utilizes kitchen equipment./ppFollows written and verbal instructions./ppServes food in cafeteria as requested by customers./ppApportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to therapeutic diets and patient identification card./ppOperates cash register. Collects and gives change to customers./ppWashes dishes, equipment, utensils and cleans work and production area./ppCollects and places garbage and trash in designated containers./ppRecords amount and types of special food items served to patients./ppRecords all substitutions to menu on substitution log./ppRecords temperature log on food and coolers./ppProvide excellent customer service to patients and their families, visitors, and co-workers./ppMaintains themselves and their work area in a neat and clean manner./ppPromotes and participates in teamwork and flexibility with other Dietary co-workers./ppComply with established hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations as they relate to:/ppSafety/Risk Management/ppInfection Control/ppQuality Improvement/ppLegal Compliance Plan/ppCode of Conduct/ppHIPAA Program/ppDepartment Rules and Regulations/ph3Qualifications/h3pEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:/ppHigh school education or equivalent./ppCertification/Licensure:/ppState of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification/ppExperience Requirements:/ppOne year cooking experience/p/div
