To select appropriate technical factors limiting the need for re-exposure and in accordance with equipment operating guidelines. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and initiative, and basic knowledge of cross sectional anatomy. To apply patient care, communicating the procedure performed, lessening apprehension and in accordance with the hospitals Patients Rights policies. Knowledge of the needs of patient according to their age group and the ability to modify care according to patients age./ppJob Responsibilities:/pulliPerforms and documents patient and family education activities including assessing, performing and documenting/liliProvides age specific and population specific care, supports patients rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity/liliUses proper protocols, positioning, and technical factors to obtain high quality images/liliAccurately identifies images and includes patient history/liliCorrelates accurately contrast media and dosage to exam/liliProficiently operates radiographic equipment/liliProficiently operates all functions of the CT scanner and workstation equipment/liliAssists physicians, and other technologists with procedures/liliIs in compliance with all radiation safety standards/liliDocuments and completes accurately and in a timely manner all exam information/liliPerforms QC procedures on CT scanners as directed by the physicists protocol/liliSupport patients rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural, ethical and religious diversity./liliProvides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to adult and geriatric populations./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:/ppEducation Level: High school diploma or equivalent./ppCertification/Licensure: Formal radiologic technology training in AMA approved school./ppMust be ARRT registered and IDNS licensed unrestricted./ppCurrent BLS: Required/ppExperience Requirements:/p/div
