Private Early Childhood Teacher | East Aurora, NY (In-Home) | Full-Time, W-2 Employee | $90,000-$130,000/year

Thrive Education Partners connects exceptional educators with families seeking highly personalized learning experiences. We are seeking an experienced Private Early Childhood Teacher to design and lead a rich, play-based preschool program for a bright and imaginative 3-year-old learner in the Buffalo area.

This role is ideal for an educator who understands that young children learn best through play, language, relationships, exploration, creativity, and purposeful routines. You'll have the opportunity to create a customized early childhood experience that nurtures curiosity, confidence, independence, and joyful learning.

• Primary instruction takes place in a private home with a dedicated learning space in the East Aurora area.
• Full-time position with student-facing hours typically occurring Monday through Thursday, approximately 9:00 AM-2:00 PM.
• Additional paid time is allocated for curriculum planning, lesson preparation, documentation, progress tracking, and family communication.
• Three days per week include instruction for a small two-student learning group consisting of the primary learner and another preschool-aged child.
• One day per week is focused primarily on individualized instruction, enrichment, observation, and responsive planning.
• Occasional educational outings or enrichment experiences may occur with advance planning and approval.

• Design and implement a customized, developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum aligned to each child's learning needs, interests, and developmental readiness.
• Create individualized learning plans, establish developmental goals, and adjust instruction based on ongoing observation and assessment.
• Deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support early literacy, oral language, numeracy, fine motor development, creativity, and social-emotional growth.
• Lead a consistent daily rhythm that balances structured learning, child-led exploration, movement, music, stories, art, and hands-on experiences.
• Monitor progress, document developmental milestones, and provide thoughtful updates and recommendations to families.
• Differentiate instruction while maintaining a cohesive curriculum for both learners during shared instructional days.
• Collaborate professionally with families and Thrive Education Partners regarding curriculum planning, developmental priorities, and student growth.

• Students demonstrate measurable growth in early literacy, language development, social-emotional skills, independence, and school readiness.
• Individualized learning plans are consistently implemented, monitored, and adjusted based on documented progress.
• Children remain engaged, confident, curious, and excited to participate in daily learning experiences.
• Families experience strong communication, partnership, and confidence in their child's educational growth.

• Competitive compensation of $90,000-$130,000 annually , based on experience and credentials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Literacy, or a related field.
• Significant experience teaching preschool, kindergarten, early elementary students, or private early childhood learners.
• Demonstrated experience creating customized curriculum, individualized learning plans, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood development, including emergent literacy, numeracy, fine motor development, and social-emotional learning.
• Ability to communicate professionally with families and maintain discretion within a private-home environment.
• Successful completion of a background check and verification of professional references.

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
• Experience in private teaching, homeschool education, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, nature-based, or play-based learning environments.
• Training or experience in structured literacy, language development, early childhood assessment, or developmental documentation.
• Experience supporting highly verbal, curious, and imaginative young learners.
• Comfort leading a small-group learning environment while maintaining individualized support.
