The Surveying and Geomatics Business Unit is seeking a Survey Project and Client Manager – Renewables, located in Denver, CO,Boise, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, or Remote.As a Survey Project and Client Manager, you will lead survey projects supporting renewable energy and utility infrastructure throughout the West, including wind, solar, battery storage, transmission, and substation projects. You'll partner with developers, EPC contractors, utilities, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality survey solutions from early site development through construction. In addition to delivering high-quality work, you will identify opportunities to expand services, support proposals and scoping, and contribute to business development efforts that drive repeat work and long-term partnerships. You will be accountable for technical excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction, while providing clear direction to field and office teams. This role blends strong technical expertise with leadership, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver results that strengthen client relationships and grow the business.What You’ll DoKey Responsibilities:Act as a client‑facing, revenue‑accountable, culture‑driving leader Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring responsiveness and delivery excellence Identify opportunities for additional services and support proposal efforts to grow existing client relationships Develop and expand relationships with renewable energy developers, utilities, EPC contractors, and engineering partners Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, scope management, and change control Lead survey projects supporting renewable energy developments, transmission corridors, substations, and related infrastructure. Oversee the technical quality of topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, utility corridor, and construction survey deliverables supporting renewable energy projects Prepare proposals and collaborate with technical teams to define project approaches Support pursuits for wind, solar, battery storage, transmission, and other energy infrastructure opportunities Provide coaching, mentorship, and direction to field and office staff Coordinate with DEA’s Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to align staffing and project needs Ensure adherence to DEA’s firmwide processes for contracting, project accounting, and quality standards Proactively collaborate with engineers, planners, and other disciplines to support integrated project delivery Support recruiting, onboarding, and career development of survey staff What You BringRequired Qualifications:Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or the ability to obtain licensure within one yearMinimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in land surveyingDemonstrated experience managing projects and mentoring survey staffStrong client communication skills with a high level of attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting renewable energy, electric transmission, substation, or utility infrastructure projectsExisting relationships with renewable developers, utilities, or EPC firmsExperience with aerial LiDAR, UAV mapping, or large-area topographic surveysExperience using Trimble Business CenterProficiency with Civil 3DWhat We OfferWe foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
