Role Description Immigration Litigation Attorney

Leading boutique immigration law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney for removal defense. We are a growing practice who needs a sharp, quick thinking, organized attorney who can manage their own caseload. We pride ourselves in being informative, professional, confident, and compassionate. If interested, will work on pro bono cases.

Requirements: For this position the applicant must:

• Be bilingual (fluent Spanish/English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Barred in any US jurisdiction
• Have at least one year of previous asylum and litigation experience
• Be highly organized and attentive to detail
• Be familiar with legal software and willing to learn how to use new software
• Have solid skills and experience in handling both affirmative and defensive asylum cases, from start to finish, with minimal supervision.

Major Responsibilities:

• Court appearances before the Immigration Court (EOIR)
• Represent clients before U.S. Citizenship Immigration Services in naturalization and marriage interviews
• Draft legal memorandum
• Meet with clients in detention centers
• Independently handle and manage high-volume caseload
• Advise clients on legal matters.
