Accounting Coordinator

We are a large Behavioral Health Organization seeking a detail-oriented, motivated and experienced Accounting Coordinator to join our onsite team in Metairie, LA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing accounting functions across multiple locations and entities, preparing detailed reporting for executive team members, and analyzing various aspects in the accounting department. The right candidate will possess the ability to confidently communicate the company's financial status to CEO and owner, practice extreme confidentiality, and develop and maintain a professional and trustworthy relationship with external vendors. - Oversee financial operations supporting a multi-site organization with significant annual revenue.
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations across multiple locations for multiple entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Administer accurate financial reporting for payroll processes as it relates to provider and business partnership agreements while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and quarterly financial reviews for executive leadership.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives through accurate reporting and financial analysis.
- Maintain, and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and operational workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage corporate insurance programs, including annual renewals, coverage reviews, and coordination with insurance providers.
- Coordinate with external CPA firm for quarterly tax filings, bank requested financial reporting and other regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with IRS, state, and local requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters involving leadership, vendors, auditors, and external business partners.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records across multiple entities within QuickBooks and related accounting systems.
- Maintain the general ledger's accuracy and ensure supporting documentation is audit ready.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. (bachelor's in accounting or related field is a plus)
- Expert level of QuickBooks Desktop/Online Software.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Experience with multi-dimension accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll administration, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently or with a team while meeting strict deadlines.
