Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers, sales staff, and production personnel by processing orders, preparing quotations, coordinating deliveries, and providing excellent customer service for commercial wood doors and custom machining products. This position plays a key role in ensuring orders are accurate, on schedule, and communicated effectively throughout the production process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer orders for commercial wood doors, custom machining, and related products.
• Prepare quotations, order acknowledgements, and pricing information.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, production staff, and sales representatives regarding orders, lead times, deliveries, and product availability.
• Professionally answer and direct incoming phone calls while assisting customers with inquiries, orders, and general support.
• Review customer specifications and verify order accuracy prior to processing.
• Enter and maintain accurate order information within the company ERP system.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or material needs to appropriate personnel.
• Respond promptly to customer questions, concerns, and service issues.
• Maintain organized customer records, pricing sheets, and sales documentation.
• Assist with additional administrative and sales support duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred but not required.
• 13 years of inside sales, customer service, manufacturing, millwork, or related industry experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred (BisTrack/Epicor experience is a plus).

Physical Requirements

• Primarily sedentary office work.
• Frequent computer and phone use.
• Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

• Office environment within a commercial wood door and manufacturing operation.
• Fast-paced setting requiring frequent communication with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
