Accounting Manager Position's Mission Statement: Deliver accurate financial reporting by completing every month-end close within 10 business days, submitting all required regulatory and tax reports on time, and resolving Accounting-related audit findings by their approved due dates. Accounting Manager Position's Outcomes Ensure accurate and timely completion and review of monthly financial statements, budget-to-actual reporting, ALM reporting data, and other required financial reports throughout the year. Complete required monthly financial reporting within established deadlines, with 100% of significant identified variances, unusual activity, or reporting discrepancies researched, explained, corrected, or escalated as appropriate prior to final reporting or within an established resolution timeframe. Ensure 100% of month-end closes are completed within 10 business days following month-end, including completion of all required accounting activities, financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation. Ensure all identified financial variances are researched and documented within the same 10-business-day timeframe. Maintain and monitor the month-end close schedule and promptly address or escape issues that could delay the close or materially impact the accuracy of financial reporting. Ensure 100% of required regulatory and tax reports are reviewed and submitted accurately by applicable deadlines, including the NCUA 5300 Call Report, tax renditions, tax estimates and balancing, and 1099-MISC/NEC reporting. Ensure required supporting documentation is complete and maintained, and identified discrepancies are researched and resolved or escalated prior to submission. Coordinate Accounting’s participation in internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and financial reviews by ensuring 100% of Accounting-related requests are provided accurately by the established due date or an appropriate extension is communicated and approved in advance. Track Accounting-related findings, recommendations, and corrective actions through resolution, ensuring no Accounting-related finding remains past its established corrective-action due date without documented management approval. Accounting Manager Position's Classification: Full-Time benefits eligible, Salary, Exempt. Accounting Manager Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually DOE; paid bi-weekly. CPA preferred. Experience: A minimum of f ive (5) to ten (10) years f inancial accounting experience and understanding of GAAP required. Specialized knowledge in banking regulations preferred. Other qualifications: Knowledge of activities of financial institutions Knowledge of required accounting treatment and reconciliation procedures of those activities Proficiency in computer applications and spreadsheets Ability to learn related industry software and online sites Organized, Detail-oriented, and Problem solver Use effective verbal and written communication Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple ongoing projects Location and Required Hours: O nsite at our Tyler, Texas office, 45+ hours a week. Must be available 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays as business needs require.
