Action Officer

Description SAIC is seeking an Action Officer with an active clearance to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(RE)) Critical Technology Office (CTO) to support developing and maintaining work products that enable management decision making, strategy development, initiative definition, action tracking and monitoring, meeting and workshop planning and execution. This role will include strategic and operational planning, communications, problem solving, office infrastructure management, oversight of workflow management, running of reporting processes, oversight of security and clearance processes, personnel and functional area synchronization, and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes. This position will be located in Arlington, VA. Job Duties Include Develop and document frameworks for distilling complex issues and work functions into clear courses of action to support decision making. Planning and coordinating academic engagement efforts in collaboration with the Director, Academic Outreach. Track actions and tasks to timely closure; assist and elevate as needed when task owners fail to achieve timely closure. Facilitate project, initiative, and major work effort planning meetings. Project, initiative, major work effort planning and management. Develop executive level status and summary briefings. Develop planning artifacts including but not limited to statements of work, charters, schedules, and Gantt charts. Gather information; articulate, analyze, and solve problems; visualize and present information; and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes. Create/manage communications for the enterprise, group, and individuals including meeting agendas, briefings, and meeting minutes. Develop weekly reports on significant activities, report on the effectiveness of events and processes. Organize and facilitate internal and external communications on a wide array of subjects including internal and external tasks, program reviews, meetings, congressional events, invitations, speaking events, and resources. Qualifications Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance. US citizenship. Bachelor’s degree and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and thirteen (13) years of experience. Strong leadership, problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to work with Senior Executives efficiently and effectively. Excellent communication skills; experience writing white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports. Exceptional organizational and teambuilding skills and interpersonal skills. Extensive experience in the Pentagon at OSW, Joint Staff, or other high-level organization. Desired Qualifications Master’s degree. Strong knowledge of OSW-level organizational structure and understanding of the National Defense Strategy and DoW Modernization areas. Senior Service College Graduate. #J-18808-Ljbffr Saic
