Accounting ClerkThe Accounting Clerk supports the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department by performing routine data entry, recordkeeping, and reconciliation tasks. This role assists with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, maintains accurate financial records, and provides general administrative support to the accounting team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets in a fast-paced environment.Accounts Payable & Receivable SupportPost payments received and apply cash receipts to customer accounts receivable balances in KarmakAssist with filing, matching invoices, processing Parts invoices in KarmakAssist with preparing and emailing customer invoices and statementsAssisting in managing accounts receivable inbox and other various accounts receivable tasksUpload customer invoices into customer portalsAssist with weekly AP check run printing, scanning, and mailing checksAssist with scanning documents and sending to appropriate departmentsFollow up on outstanding invoices and assist with basic collection calls as neededAssist in resolving billing and payment discrepancies with vendors and customersPerform other AR and AP duties as assignedGeneral Accounting & RecordkeepingMaintain organized and accurate financial files, records, and documentationPrepare and update spreadsheets to track expenses, payments, and cash account balancesSupport the preparation of routine financial and management reportsAssist with audits by gathering documentation and supporting schedules as requestedPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; no degree required2-3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or related clerical roleIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, Xlookup, pivot tables) and the Microsoft Office SuiteBasic understanding of general accounting principles and practicesAbility to learn and effectively use accounting/ERP softwareExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeepingStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamPreferred: Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related fieldPrior experience with an accounting/ERP software system
