Lead Technician - Blood Component Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities Meet quality and quantity production goals while prioritizing workload expectations and maintaining accurate documentation. Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and distribution. Data entry and operation of computer programs related to labeling, storage, and sample tube management. Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information from other departments to meet deadlines. Perform complex manufacturing tasks such as pooled product manufacturing, freeze, wash, de‑glycerolizing, and pathogen reduction. Communicate effectively with internal customers, vendors, and volunteers. Work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed. Assume supervisory responsibilities and participate in training staff. Standard Schedule Second shift, 4pm-12am Monday to Friday; weekends as needed. Pay Information $22.00 per hour with a second shift differential of $2.25 per hour. What You Need to Succeed High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 4 years related experience in regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment or preferred education/experience combination. Good computer skills, ability to use laboratory equipment with accuracy and documentation. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements Frequently lift or move objects 10–50 lbs unassisted; push carts up to 100 lbs; withstand temperatures in blood banking environment; may require climbing step ladders.
