Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients in various settings, including patient service centers and office-based locations.
• Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in presence of the patient.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing following established procedures and safety protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, explaining procedures and creating a comfortable environment.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient information.
• Ensure a safe, professional, and confidential environment at all times.
• Travel between multiple sites as scheduled, demonstrating flexibility and punctuality.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines related to phlebotomy and patient care.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Accuracy in specimen labeling and record-keeping.
• Proficient data entry skills.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Recent phlebotomy experience within the past 3-4 months, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required in all states; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license, and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel between multiple sites and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
