Journeyman Business and Financial Operations Specialist (Group 3) - Scott AFB

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a full-time Journeyman Business and Financial Operations Specialist to work at Scott AFB/southern IL. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

What will you do

Leverage your experience to autonomously manage and execute a range of financial and business operations tasks, contributing directly to our strategic goals of improving financial management and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Independently perform detailed financial analysis, reporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Lead audit preparation activities, including developing and implementing corrective action plans.
• Design and enhance internal control processes to meet audit and compliance standards.
• Manage cross-functional projects to improve business processes and financial systems.
• Provide expert advice on financial management policies and procedures.
• Serve as a key liaison between financial operations and other organizational units.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen, eligibility for Department of Defense clearance; (Active Interim / Completed Secret Clearance or higher preferred
• BA/BSor MA/MS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3to 10 years of experience in business and financial operations, with aproven track record of independent work.
• Deepunderstanding of financial reporting standards, audit processes, andinternal controls.
• Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strongleadership capabilities and the ability to work effectively with diverseteams.
• Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management software.
