Human Resources Business Partner

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will support MPC’s CFO organization with a wide range of human resource functions, partnering with organizational leaders to achieve business objectives through employee relations, workforce planning, performance, staffing, investigations, inclusion initiatives, and policy implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement HR strategies aligned with business needs through influence and change management. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with client groups to drive results. Guide employees in the interpretation and administration of HR policies and programs. Provide performance consulting, including training, needs assessments, organizational development, and meeting facilitation. Conduct investigations and present findings to resolve employee disputes and grievances. Participate in negotiations with employee unions and assist with labor contract administration. Promote inclusion and opportunity to support a high‑performing culture. Partner with client groups on HR policies, compensation, benefits, and labor relations matters. Research, document and present special projects; recommend actions based on findings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR strongly preferred. Minimum two (2) years of related HR Business Partner experience. Experience supporting senior leadership preferred. Proficiency with a large HRIS (e.g., Workday) preferred.

Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines. Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills. Curiosity and willingness to learn about the energy industry. Advanced relationship‑management experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Attention to detail, analytical, and team‑oriented.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
