Now hiring for a Pipe Welder Location: Houston, TX Pay Rate: $16.00 – $32.00 per hour (Based on Welding Level) Schedule: Monday – Friday: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM Saturday: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM Sunday: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial. Experience Requirements Previous welding experience required Experience with pipe welding preferred Ability to pass applicable welding tests Experience working safely in an industrial or fabrication environment Job Duties Perform welding, tacking, and fabrication work according to specifications Operate grinders and welding equipment safely and effectively Inspect welds for quality and accuracy Follow all shop safety procedures and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area Use hand tools and welding accessories as needed Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift. Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment. Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work. The Pipe Welder plays an important role in manufacturing by producing quality welded assemblies that support a wide range of industrial applications. This position requires technical welding ability, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safe work practices. Successful Pipe Welder candidates understand welding equipment, metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and quality standards while maintaining productivity and consistent workmanship.
