Description

• Conduct assessments for patients of all ages-pediatric, adult, and geriatric-utilizing a combination of standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on patients' immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aiming to improve language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress and reinforcement outside therapy hours.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity throughout the care process.
• Keep accurate, timely documentation compliant with all relevant guidelines.
• Commit to ongoing learning and knowledge-sharing within the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
