The Michigan Philharmonic Board of Directors invites expressions of interest for the position of Executive Director . We seek a collaborative, mission-driven leader to partner with Music Director Nan Washburn, an engaged Board of Trustees, dedicated volunteers, and part-time staff to guide the organization’s next chapter. Experience in the performing arts is highly valued. We are especially interested in candidates with strengths in two key areas: Fundraising and relationship development : cultivating donors, sponsors, grant opportunities, and community partnerships that strengthen the Michigan Philharmonic's long-term sustainability. Organizational leadership and brand stewardship : coordinating people, volunteers, programs, events and day-to-day operations while serving as an enthusiastic ambassador for the Michigan Philharmonic throughout the community. This is not a remote position. The Michigan Philharmonic is headquartered in downtown Plymouth. The schedule will be flexible and will vary with concerts, meetings, fundraising, and community events, but regular in-person engagement and office presence are essential to success in this role.Preference will be given to candidates with strong ties to Plymouth and the immediate surrounding service area, especially those with established business, civic, philanthropic, or nonprofit networks.
