Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a dynamic acute care environment that emphasizes best practices and exceptional customer service. This role supports relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Apply clinical expertise to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
• Engage in ongoing education to incorporate evidence-based practices and promote cost-effective care.
• Deliver excellent patient and visitor relations, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and team members to manage expectations and enhance the patient experience.
• Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, noise reduction, and privacy standards.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives, reporting near misses and supporting a culture of safety.
• Demonstrate leadership by mentoring colleagues, fostering teamwork, and pursuing professional growth opportunities.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care nursing experience if non-accredited.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

This position offers a day shift schedule with flexible part-time or full-time options to complete orientation. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
