Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory agency requirements. Acute care settings include medical, surgical, emergency, intensive care, childbirth, pediatric, operating room, perianesthesia, endoscopy, and cardiac catheterization units.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Apply new knowledge and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and workplace efficiency.
• Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly to manage expectations and provide timely responses to patient needs, ensuring a positive care experience.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

• Engage in continuous professional development, leadership opportunities, and certification advancement.
• Foster teamwork through motivation, coaching, and collaborative feedback to achieve shared goals.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.

Licensure:

Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.

Work Shift:

Third shift, full-time (36 hours per week).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
