RN - Registered Nurse - Special Care Nursery/Childbirth Center

Job Summary: This full-time day position involves 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays. Prior experience in Special Care Nursery or Newborn Nursery is highly preferred. Candidates should hold a BSN or be willing to complete a BSN degree within five years. The role focuses on delivering patient- and family-centered nursing care in an environment that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. It fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Time and Resource Management: Efficiently manages time and resources, prioritizing important tasks and balancing short- to long-term activities. Applies new knowledge from education to promote cost-saving practices.
• Expertise/Specialty: Demonstrates required functional and technical knowledge to perform at a high level. Makes patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs. Applies evidence-based practices to enhance the workplace.

Education and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Area-specific education such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications must be obtained upon hire and maintained.

Licensure/Certifications:

Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the appropriate state board is required.

Work Shift:

6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, full-time, 36 scheduled hours weekly.
