Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, regional Nurse Practice Acts, and regulatory agency standards. The RN delivers patient care and shared leadership within the unit.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
• Attend ongoing education on products and practice changes to promote cost-effective care.
• Apply specialized knowledge to make appropriate patient care assignments based on acuity and technical needs.
• Enhance the workplace by adopting evidence-based practices and new functional skills.
• Exhibit excellent guest relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate proactively to manage patient and provider expectations, ensuring a positive experience through patient rounding and timely responses.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience or an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.

Licensure:

Current active Registered Nurse licensure as required by the regional nursing board.

Work Shift:

First shift, part-time (approximately 26 hours weekly).

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
