Accounting Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional ready to take the next step into a supervisory role, in a hybrid position based in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and general ledger activities
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to accounting staff
Assist with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
Support internal and external audit requests, including documentation preparation
Help maintain and strengthen internal controls within the accounting function
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of accounting experience, with prior supervisory or lead experience preferred
Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures
Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and strong Excel skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a hybrid work environment
