Interested in joining a growing east-side contractor with multiple locations ? This family-oriented team is seeking a Payroll Administrator for a 100% in-office role where accuracy, reliability, and strong Excel skills will play an important role in supporting day-to-day payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll using internal timekeeping systems and a third-party payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, benefits, deductions, exemptions, and per diems.
• Generate payroll reports including earnings, deductions, and leave summaries.
• Handle unemployment claims and related documentation.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll questions.
• Ensure payroll processes follow internal policies and compliance standards.
• Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 and 1095 preparation.
• Support travel and lodging coordination for field teams as needed.
• Assist with additional administrative or payroll-related tasks when required.
• Collaborates closely with HR, accounting, operations, and the payroll provider.

Qualifications

• Prior payroll processing experience required.
• Experience supporting payroll in construction, contracting, or similar industries preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment.
• Education background in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience with construction payroll or timekeeping systems (such as Foundation Payroll) is a plus.
