Plant Utilities Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Baxter seeks a Plant Utilities Maintenance Technician for night-shift operations at its Round Lake facility. The role involves maintaining building systems and utility equipment critical to pharmaceutical manufacturing, including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Replace components including filters, belts, motors, compressors, sensors, and contactors
• Monitor building systems and alarms to address conditions before impacting operations
• Maintain high-pressure steam and hot water boilers and associated chemical treatment programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
• Safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• No allergies to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, or related products

Compensation: $52,800-$72,600
