Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist, serving students across several locations. This in-person role, starting August 24, 2026 and extending through June 7, 2027, focuses on fostering physical independence and building skills for students within both self-contained and general education programs. You'll have the chance to work full-time (37.5 billable hours per week), though part-time applicants will also be considered. The daily schedule runs Monday through Friday, with start times varying by school, generally between 7:30 and 8:30 am.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
• Current and valid Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Experience in pediatric, school, or educational settings preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Capability to travel between multiple school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individual treatment plans for a caseload of 35-45 students ranging from elementary to transition programs
• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to enhance student participation in educational environments
• Train students and staff on positioning and mobility equipment
• Collaborate closely with fellow therapists, educators, nurses, and paraprofessionals
• Provide timely documentation—including daily notes, progress reports, and goal updates
• Foster inclusive, supportive practices within diverse educational teams
