Senior Insurance Accountant

The Accountant III supports accounting and reporting for multiple legal entities, maintaining accurate records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements. The role executes monthly and quarterly close activities, manages intercompany reconciliations, maintains accrual schedules, assists in preparing financial statements, and contributes to system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly/quarterly close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations. Complete balance sheet and cash reconciliations; investigate variances. Maintain detailed accrual schedules and intercompany reconciliations. Support preparation of GAAP and regulatory financial statements. Participate in projects involving systems, integrations, internal controls, and process improvements. Provide cross-functional support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred. 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong U.S. GAAP and internal controls knowledge. Proficient in Excel; experience with Oracle, HFM, or FCCS is a plus. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and time‑management skills. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate across teams. Technical accounting experience in GAAP and regulatory reporting. Preferred Public accounting background.
