Business Development Representative

OPTYO is a performance marketing agency and brand accelerator built exclusively for eCommerce brands in the sports, fitness, and wellness space. We partner with founder-led brands to drive measurable growth through paid media, creative, email, and conversion-focused web experiences, operating at the intersection of brand and performance where strong creative directly impacts revenue. At OPTYO, you will work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with direct exposure to how high-growth D2C brands are built, optimized, and scaled. The Opportunity We are hiring a Business Development Representative to join our sales team and build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities from the ground up. In this role, you will lead outbound prospecting, drive lead generation, and create early-stage relationships that open doors for our Senior Growth Managers to close. You will have real ownership over your outreach, direct visibility into how high-growth D2C brands are won and scaled, and a clear path to grow into a Senior Growth Manager (Account Executive) role as you prove yourself. This is an entry-to-mid-level position built for someone who wants to break into the sports and fitness marketing space, earn through performance, and grow fast within a team that takes winning seriously. Key Responsibilities Prospect & Research: Identify and research high-potential D2C brands across the sports, fitness, and wellness verticals. Outbound Engagement: Execute targeted outbound campaigns through email, cold calling, and social media to generate interest and book discovery calls. Lead Qualification: Pre-qualify inbound and outbound leads based on brand size, goals, and fit for OPTYO’s offerings. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM, ensuring a smooth handoff to AEs. Sales Support: Assist AEs in prepping for pitches and proposals, organizing account information, and following up with prospects. Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic goals. Learn & Grow: Continuously refine your skills in sales outreach, messaging, and brand storytelling with support and mentorship from senior team members. What We Are Looking For Have 1–2 years of experience in a sales, lead generation, or client-facing role (agency or startup experience is a plus). Are highly organized, self-motivated, and excited by the idea of earning through performance. Thrive in a fast-paced environment where every conversation could lead to a new client. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understand the basics of D2C marketing or have a genuine interest in the sports & fitness space.
