Work Environment

This role is based within our outpatient office, which fosters a friendly and supportive environment. As part of our team, you will collaborate with two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality patient care. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while focusing on patient rehabilitation and staff collaboration. Our emphasis on patient-centered care allows for flexibility and creativity in treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patient needs and establish care plans that meet their rehabilitation and recovery goals.
• Manage a caseload that typically involves treating one patient per hour, ensuring effective delivery of care while maintaining high standards of treatment quality.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques tailored to the individual needs of patients, focusing on enhancing their movement capabilities and overall quality of life.
• Engage in ongoing assessments of patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Document treatment interventions, responses, and progress accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) platforms such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to create a cohesive strategy that optimizes patient recovery.
• Promote wellness through lifestyle education, emphasizing strength training, flexibility, balance, and coordination improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. With an emphasis on a personalized approach, you will work to motivate and engage each patient on their unique journey to restoring function and mobility. Your expertise will be crucial in reducing reliance on medications and preventing the need for surgical interventions through effective rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, with a clean record free of disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundational knowledge and skills in manual therapy techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Competency in using EMR software, particularly involving documentation and patient management systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, providing a background in managing diverse patient cases.
• Experience working with evidence-based interventions that promote optimal patient outcomes in rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
