Snow Reporter and Marketing Assistant 2026/27

Summary of Job Purpose

The Marketing Assistants primary focus is daily snow reporting with responsibilities supporting day to day operations in Marketing, Events, Front Desk Sales and Group Sales. This position requires the successful candidate to work independently and in a team environment with the ability to organize and multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Applicant must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, effective organizational skills and constant attention to detail.

1. Willingness to work flexible schedules including multiple early morning (5am) snow reporting duties.
2. Accurately and efficiently report the daily snow phone, snow report, grooming map, websites, employee information sheet, resort fact sheet, media screens and marketing snow reporting documentation.
3. Ability to use and learn Microsoft Office and Adobe Design software.
4. Understands the variety of snow condition that exist with the ability to appropriately present information on these conditions to the public within the context of the snow report.
5. Safety oriented.
6. Provide support the Marketing Department's goals and objectives.
7. Interact with guests to successfully match needs with products.
8. Answer and communicate guest inquiries in a prompt manner.
9. Communicate and understand hand-held radio communication.
10. Responsible for balancing cash drawers at the close of each day.

• Marketing and sales experience
• Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level
• Ability to move about the resort easily and comfortably through cold weather, ice and snow during a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear speaking voice.
• Knowledgeable of the wintersports area terrain and facilities
• Ability to lift heavy and awkward objects of up to 50lbs
• Possess problem solving, multi-tasking and proactive skills
• Be able to prioritize and handle stress in a calm, professional manner
• Enjoy contact with the public with the goal to direct all customer service situations to the appropriate department
• Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Courteous, friendly, and enthusiastic toward guests and other employees at all times.

Work Schedules

Weather conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Dodge Ridge employees.

When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.

You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road surfaces.

Working Conditions

At any time during the ski season, Dodge Ridge employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.

Uniforms

A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will be required to provide some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

Items You Must Provide

• Ski / snowboard equipment and ski bindings that pass a binding function test (you should be aware you are responsible for any damage to your equipment while at work.
• Snow pants , outdoor apparel (gloves, hat, base layers, etc.), goggles, sunglasses

The skiing/riding employee represents a model for safe skiing for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe skiing procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
