Position: Office AssistantLocation: Washington, D.C. (Eastern Market office)Compensation: $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with experienceSchedule: Full-time, in-office 5 days/week About Us:Lex Politica is a boutique law firm that represents political candidates and committees, elected officials, high-net worth donors, political consulting firms, lobbyists, trade associations, tax-exempt organizations, and for-profit companies ranging from innovative startups to the Fortune 500. We are seeking a detail-driven Office Assistant to keep our operations running smoothly and provide high-level support to firm leadership at a conservative law firm.Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive professional to manage office operations and executive support while providing critical administrative assistance in a deadline-driven environment at a Republican and right-leaning law firm. If you thrive on making high-performing teams more effective while enforcing structure and accuracy, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: Office Management: Oversee daily office operations, while serving as the central point of contact for office-related issues and solutions ensuring a smooth, professional environment. Schedule Management: Assist with scheduling for senior executives, ensuring deadlines and priorities are flawlessly managed. Meeting Prep & Follow-Up: Build PowerPoint decks for presentations at conferences and for clients; prepare agendas and materials for key meetings and conferences; track and drive action items for the executives. Project & Workflow Coordination: Manage tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools for legal and operational processes. Logistics & Travel: Handle logistics and occasional travel planning with attention to detail and preferences.Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in office environments and executive support, ideally in law, professional services, consulting, or elected official offices. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with or a willingness to learn quickly to a level of fluency with CRM tools, , and AI productivity platforms a plus. Exceptional organizational skills and technical accuracy; able to manage multiple priorities without letting details slip. Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential, high-stakes matters.Candidate Characteristics: You are proactive, self-sufficient, and don't require hand-holding. You are analytical, precise, structured, and reliable. You anticipate needs before they're spoken and ensure no detail is missed. You take pride in being the "operational glue" that allows executives and teams to focus on their highest-value work. You are willing to go beyond your job description when needed to get the job done right and on-time.
