Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional

We work together in person, in Bellevue, WA, USA We're looking for a highly experienced, versatile, and hardworking Hardware Finance & Accounting Professional (manager, senior manager, controller) to work collaboratively with our finance and hardware teams. This role will be responsible for the business and finance & accounting aspects of our hardware business: Responsibilities Lead forecasting for the hardware products’ life cycle and also on a monthly basis to send to our contract manufacturers Issue monthly purchase orders based on our forecast to contract manufacturers and ensure the build is consistent with our forecast Monitor actual demand against forecast for hardware business, assessing performance and inventory levels, and raising options to the team to align trajectory/course-correct, if necessary Analyze hardware product costs for end-consumer, retailer/distributor pricing for product life cycle, and participate in the decision-making Analyze sales promotions and discounts to run during the product life cycle, including forecasting volumes related to these events, evaluate performance and learnings for future events, and participate in the decision-making Participate in discussions concerning evaluating expansion of hardware into additional countries and new sales channels Assist with implementation of finance responsibilities, as needed Lead and work on hardware cost accounting, invoicing, inventory tracking and related reconciliations, etc. Address ad hoc needs as they arise Continue to streamline processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness Assist in department planning, as needed / tasks evolve Cross-train with other team members Valve is an entertainment and technology company driven to design and deliver extraordinary entertainment experiences to customers.
