Job Summary: Provide exceptional support to patients, healthcare providers, and team members by performing laboratory tests with precision, timeliness, and professionalism. Communicate test results effectively to ordering practitioners while maintaining a courteous and competent approach.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy in all laboratory testing procedures.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Comply with all regulatory agency guidelines to maintain laboratory standards.
- Manage workload efficiently and report any outstanding specimen issues promptly.
- Assist with problem resolution and maintain productivity standards.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience: At least one year of post-training laboratory experience is recommended but not mandatory.
Licenses or Certifications: American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) certification is preferred.
Work Shift: Night shift (3rd shift) in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.
