Job Summary College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a dedicated employee responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food for patients, staff, and hospital guests. This role follows all food service regulations established by the Maricopa County Department of Health and upholds the ethics, mission, vision, and values of CMC. The ideal candidate will interact with and support a diverse workforce. Qualifications At least 1 year of food service experience (preferably healthcare) in a high-volume environment Proficient in use and maintenance of kitchen and sanitation equipment High School Diploma or GED Ability to obtain (or already have) a Food Handlers Permit for AZ; ability to obtain ServeSafe Certification. FH or ServeSafe within 30 days of hire Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays. Day or Night shift as required Must be able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), lift up to 50 lbs, and work in high-volume environments Job-Specific Duties Prepare, cook, and serve all menu items according to standardized recipes and department service standards Maintain a safe working environment by following health department standards, regulatory procedures, kitchen logs, and proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment Maintain all kitchen and storage areas following local regulatory standards, department and leadership standards, and required sanitation and safety standards Complete all assigned tasks while on duty adhering to safety standards and CMC policies Complete initial educational training modules and any subsequent modules assigned by CMC on time, and complete additional training within required timeframes. Additional Responsibilities Attend staff meetings or additional educational modules assigned by leadership Special Skills (Preferred, Not Required) Spanish speaking (Preferred) Compensation Compensation: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year Job Type: Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr
