Our client is looking for an experienced Welder to join their team. This position is responsible for performing various types of welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, reading blueprints, taking measurements, and producing quality welds according to specifications.


Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Pay: $23.00-$25.00/hour


Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts together according to layouts, diagrams, work orders, or verbal instructions.
• Set up and operate MIG, TIG, and other gas/electric welding equipment as required.
• Select and install appropriate gas orifices, consumable wire electrodes, hoses, and welding equipment.
• Adjust gas pressure, electric current, and wire-feed speed to achieve proper welds.
• Connect welding cables and equipment and manually guide electrodes along weld lines.
• Perform TIG welding using a non-consumable tungsten electrode and filler wire or rod.
• Clean and prepare workpieces using wire brushes, portable grinders, or other methods.
• Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and perform equipment weld repairs.
• Position, clamp, and align fabricated metal components in preparation for welding.
• Inspect finished work and measure dimensions using tape measures, rulers, squares, and other basic measuring tools.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay


Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM-4:30 PM $23.00-$25.00/hour

Requirements:

• Prior welding experience with technical education, training, or certification.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, climb, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and remain on your feet for extended periods.
