Our customer in Beloit, WI is looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join their team. This position involves fabricating, forming, and assembling sheet metal products using a variety of fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating metal fabrication machinery and be comfortable reading blueprints, measuring materials, and working independently.


Equipment Experience


Experience with the following equipment is highly preferred:

• CNC Lathe
• Whitney
• Tube Bender
• Turret
• Drill Press
• Various Saws
• Punch/Press Brake equipment

Schedule & Pay


Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM-4:30 PM 4-day, 10-hour workweek $18.00-$25.00/hour


Responsibilities

• Operate and program CNC punch, press brake, and other metal fabrication equipment to complete production runs.
• Stamp, punch, deburr, roll, bend, and form steel and sheet metal components.
• Set up and operate various fabrication machinery according to job requirements.
• Read and follow blueprints, layout drawings, sketches, engineering drawings, and job routers.
• Lay out sheet stock to minimize scrap and material waste during fabrication.
• Measure and inspect work using scales, squares, fixed gauges, templates, and other measuring instruments.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Use hand and power tools for fabrication and assembly.
• Operate a forklift to retrieve and return sheet stock to storage racks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Experience with one or more of the listed machines is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routers.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
• Good basic math skills.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and assembly functions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness and ability to become forklift certified.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, push, pull, climb, and walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work on your feet for extended periods.
