HR Project Manager

The HR Project Manager will work closely with Business Transformation Office, HR and key stakeholders to identify and support in the delivery of HR projects in line with the overall Strategic Human Resource Initiatives. The HR Project Manager will work with and influence key stakeholders and partners to improve business performance and facilitate change initiatives to produce more effective and efficient processes.

Note: This is a REMOTE position with travel required based on business needs. Though listed in Illinois, can be based anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities Include:

• Build and manage project management plans for key HR Initiatives that support the overall Transformation of the company (who is in a significant acquisition mode).
• Manage project issues and risks, and reviews the associated impact to project scope, timelines, and resources.
• Work with cross-functional partners to identify and mitigate blockers and risks.
• Collaborate with and develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Effectively manage stakeholders to ensure initiatives and solutions have their full support ahead of implementation.
• Influence and support change management and champion change to help drive projects forward.
• Arrange regular project planning meetings, develop and maintain plans to support project delivery on time and within budget.
• Proactive contribution of high-level strategy, ideas and ongoing suggestions as to the evolution of all projects.
• Build relationships with the Regional HR Leaders to effectively implement and embed HR initiatives.
• Ad hoc assistance on projects to HR team as and when required.
• 25% Travel Required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources Management as HR Manager, Project Management or M&A Project Management
• An HR professional with a deep understanding of how HR practice drives business success, which includes knowledge of multi-state employment and labor laws
• Proficiency in software tools such as MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Word, Project and Outlook; virtual platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams and WebEx
• PMP Certification or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
• Experience with start-ups or small privately-held companies is a plus
• Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience desired
• Ability to prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
