Real Estate Paralegal - Commercial Transactions

Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support a sophisticated commercial real estate practice in Century City, Los Angeles . This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex transactions involving acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, title and closing matters, and entity formation . The ideal candidate will have significant law firm experience and be comfortable independently managing multiple commercial real estate transactions and closing processes in a fast-paced environment. Location Century City -- Los Angeles, CA Hybrid: 3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote Reliable and consistent in-office attendance is required. Responsibilities Support attorneys on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing. Assist with commercial purchase and sale transactions . Support commercial leasing matters involving landlords and tenants. Independently manage the title review process , from title commitment through final policy issuance. Review title commitments and related documentation and prepare and respond to title objection letters . Prepare and maintain comprehensive closing checklists . Track transaction documents, deadlines, conditions, and other deliverables through closing. Coordinate transaction closings and assist with post-closing matters. Draft routine correspondence, transmittal letters, and initial drafts of standard transactional documents using approved templates. Form business entities in connection with real estate transactions, including: Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) Limited Partnerships (LPs) Corporations Coordinate with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties. Assist with commercial lending transactions when applicable. Independently manage multiple transactions, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Qualifications 5 years of substantive commercial real estate paralegal experience. Prior law firm experience strongly preferred . Significant experience with commercial purchase and sale transactions . Significant experience with commercial leasing . Strong title and survey-related experience, including the ability to independently manage the title process. Experience preparing and responding to title objection letters . Experience preparing and managing closing checklists and tracking transaction deliverables through closing. Experience drafting routine correspondence and transactional documents from established templates. Experience forming LLCs, LPs, and corporations in connection with real estate transactions. Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to independently manage multiple sophisticated transactions and competing deadlines. Preferred Experience Commercial lending transactions. Experience supporting transactions involving office, retail, and industrial properties . Experience working with landlords, tenants, investors, lenders, REITs, brokerage firms, construction companies, or government agencies. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $130,000--$140,000 per year.
