Prime Air Maintenance Technician, Amazon Prime Air

Prime Air is seeking a Repair Technician who combines technical skills with a passion for maintaining machinery and aircraft. This person will be responsible for drone maintenance and routine service, ensuring the aircraft conforms to design, and that vehicles are in safe operating condition. The candidate will work closely with engineering, flight operations, and other Prime Air teams to deliver on their assigned responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Drive time‑based and condition‑based maintenance activities Show understanding of fleet performance metrics Verify adherence to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes Manage fleet spare parts and inventory Demonstrate a proactive safety mindset in ambiguous situations Follow detailed instructions outlined in technical manuals Physical and Logistical Requirements Ability to carry or lift up to 50 lbs Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach frequently Work shifts lasting up to 12 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Travel up to 25% of the time Basic Qualifications Experience in mechanical and electrical integration or assembly Experience with common business applications and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) Ability to work in variable temperature and noise environments, including outdoor and refrigerated conditions Demonstrated record of good attendance and punctuality Preferred Qualifications Experience installing sub‑assemblies and assemblies while working to drawings or CAD files Experience in the aviation industry Business communication skills Experience in robotics and manufacturing engineering Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
