Accounting Clerk-Intermediate

Under general supervision, performs clerical accounting procedures requiring familiarity with, and experience in, accounting office practices as well as knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications. 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Assigns codes, identifies accounts, and prepares data transaction sheets. Analyzes and audits various accounts. Researches recoupments and payment errors. Posts, checks, and proofs entries to general ledger and accounts. May assist in verifying and processing accounts payable. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications General knowledge and experience in accounting office practices. Knowledge of a variety of accounting classifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel; experience with financial software. Attention to detail; able to manage and prioritize a varying workload. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to use discretion when working with confidential or sensitive information. Able to think critically and solve problems.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED is required. Required Skills Three (3 ) years of related experience is required.
