PERSONAL ASSISTANT — Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Position Details
Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Approximately 20 guaranteed hours per week
Compensation: $35-40 per hour, negotiable based on experience
Vehicle provided during working hours
No travel required

About the Family/Principal
A busy, accomplished family in Pittsburgh is looking for a smart, energetic and highly capable Personal Assistant to work directly with the principal.

The household includes three school-aged children and grandparents and already has an established household team, including a Home Manager and senior caregiver.

The principal is an accomplished technology executive, university professor and founder of an AI-focused startup. He is looking for someone who can help streamline his personal life and day-to-day responsibilities so he can maximize his time with his family while continuing to build his company.

This is also a great opportunity for someone who loves to learn and wants exposure to an entrepreneurial and technology-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities

- Manage and complete a variety of personal tasks and daily priorities
- Coordinate appointments, errands, reservations and logistics
- Assist with health, wellness and personal appointments
- Help coordinate activities and plans involving the principal and his family
- Handle research and special projects
- Anticipate needs and proactively take care of details
- Track tasks and make sure things are completed
- Assist with occasional business or startup-related projects
- Provide additional hands-on support while the principal has limited mobility
- Drive locally as needed using a provided vehicle
- Coordinate with the Home Manager and other household staff when needed

Someone bright, high-energy, resourceful and quick-moving who takes initiative and doesn’t need every step spelled out.

The right person will be highly organized, detail-oriented, creative and able to keep pace with a busy entrepreneur. They should genuinely enjoy figuring things out and taking ownership of a task from beginning to end.

Requirements

- Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or similar experience preferred
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Smart, curious and quick to learn
- Proactive with strong follow-through
- Resourceful problem solver
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable managing changing priorities
- Professional, trustworthy and discreet
- Comfortable working alongside existing household staff
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
