Key Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy services as prescribed by licensed physical therapists, including but not limited to therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Effectively communicate with patients and their families, educating them on treatment plans and home exercises to promote recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize infection control protocols and adhere to safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Accept clinical assignments that align with your training and patient needs, ensuring the highest level of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and in-service programs to stay current with industry trends and advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with diverse patient demographics, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. You will provide physical therapy interventions for various conditions, including post-surgical rehab, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pain management. Qualifications

• Education : Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program and possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Licensure : Candidates must hold a valid physical therapy assistant license in the state of Virginia.

Compensation and Benefits
