About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience required. 2 years of charge experience preferred. Experience in telemetry, IV starts, and cardiac drips required. Level I or II trauma experience required. License: Must have active nursing license prior to start date. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: Candidates must have strong cardiac experience, particularly with post-op cardiac and vascular surgery. Experience with monitoring multiple drips is essential. Travelers must be willing to float to various units. Refusal to float may result in termination of contract. Description: This position requires a registered nurse to work in a progressive care unit specializing in post-cardiac and post-vascular surgery patients. Travelers will be expected to work every other weekend as per contract. Consecutive weekends may be required based on operational needs. Charge nurse responsibilities may be assigned and training will be provided. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac conditions. Patients may be on multiple cardiac drips which travelers will be required to titrate. Unit staffing ratios are based on patient acuity with a ratio of 1:3-5. Travelers are expected to adhere to all vaccination requirements. Floating is mandatory for all travelers, and candidates must float within the hospital or affiliated hospitals as necessary. All candidates must possess a strong cardiac post-operative experience to qualify for this position. Travelers must comply with all organizational policies regarding travel employment and eligibility.
